The Most Beautiful Hotels on the Amalfi Coast

Casa Angelina | Le Sirenuse | Santa Caterina

Monastero Santa Rosa Hotel & Spa | Villa Cimbrone

Casa Angelina, Praiano – a luxurious boutique hotel with a spectacular view

The small fishing village of Praiano is one of the quieter resort towns along the Amalfi Coast. Spectacular sunsets, breathtaking views of the sea and all sorts of romantic places to stay await you here. One hotel that particularly stood out for me is the Casa Angelina. This chic boutique hotel is situated on the cliffs of Praiano and offers an unbelievable view of the sea. You can even see all the way out to Capri from the private terrace. You’ll have the choice between 41 different suites which are all decorated in an elegant shade of white and offer plenty of comfort. If you want to cool off every now and then there are two swimming pools available, but of course the beach is just a stone’s throw away as well. The hotel’s exclusive glass elevator will bring you to the wonderful beach beneath the cliff in just a few minutes. During the evening you can then smarten yourselves up and enjoy dinner at the Un Piano nel Cielo restaurant, which serves all sorts of Mediterranean cuisine and still offers those incredible views. If you’re looking for a relaxed holiday away from the hordes of tourists, then Praiano will be the perfect place for you.

Le Sirenuse, Positano – a first-class family hotel

If you’re going to the Amalfi Coast, then there’s just one place you just can’t avoid: Positano. This colourful former fishing village is the pride of the Amalfi Coast and tourists flock here by the thousands. The scent of lemon and orange tree orchards hangs in the air and a wonderful view of the sea awaits you here. One of the most famous and luxurious hotelsin Positano is Le Sirenuse, which has been owned by the Sersale family since the 18th century. The charming hotel boasts two bars and restaurant which all overlook the sea. In contrast to other luxury hotels, Le Sirenuse has one ace up its sleeve that definitely seals the deal: the Sersale family personally look after the guests! The warm welcome and excellent service give this hotel that special flair that’s hard to beat – think of it as a home away from home!

Santa Caterina, Amalfi – the perfect place to propose!

The Santa Caterina Hotel is definitely one of the most beautiful hotels on the Amalfi Coast. Located in the small town of Amalfi, the historic hotel offers plenty of luxury and romance for couples. If you’ve planning your marriage proposal, then this is definitely the place to go if you’re looking to really amaze your loved one! From the hotel’s terrace you’ll have a great view of the sea and you can really take in the beauty of the Amalfi Coast in its entirety. The hotel also serves as the perfect base to explore the region. Ferries to Capri and Naples leave from Amalfi on a daily basis. In case you find yourself getting a little bored in the hotel, then simply head out and explore! After a long day you can put your feet up in the hotel’s spa facilities and really spoil yourselves rotten. Things are especially romantic in the honeymoon suite, where you’ll even have your own jacuzzi and infinity pool. The hotel is simply perfect for a couple’s getaway that’ll be hard to beat!

Monastero Santa Rosa Hotel & Spa, Conca dei Marini – the former monastery

The Monastero Santa Rosa Hotel & Spa in Conca dei Marini is absolutely spectacular. The hotel, which formerly a monastery, offers a panoramic view of the Gulf of Salerno and boasts an incredible infinity pool. You’ll have a direct view of the azure-blue seas below as you swim your laps – who wouldn’t want to swim here? There’s also an extensive wellness area with a whirlpool, a wonderful garden and a gourmet restaurant where local specialities are served. In case that isn’t enough for you, then I’m sure the luxurious suites will do just the trick. Every room overlooks the sea, and many even have their own terrace. The Monastero Santa Rosa Hotel & Spa is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday.

Villa Cimbrone, Ravello – a luxury property with blossoming gardens

The Villa Cimbrone in the charming town of Ravello is a real feast for the eyes. This enormous property is just 10 minutes away from the town centre and offers luxury unlike anything you’ve ever seen. As well as an outdoor pool and a large terrace there’s also a wonderful panoramic garden that’s also open to the public too. You can enjoy great views of the Amalfi Coast and the Gulf of Salerno as you go for a stroll through the gardens. The hotel is a 15-minute drive from Amalfi and you can also drive there from Positano in just 30 minutes. The elegant rooms are all incredibly spacious and promise plenty of comfort. All you have to do is just switch off and enjoy your peace and quiet!
