What’s better than bathing in gorgeous surroundings, away from the crowd, feeling the crystal waters against your skin? Spain has some of the most popular nudist areas around the world where you can swim and enjoy nature without any judgement! Do you dare to discover them?
1 . Figueiras Beach in Cies Islands
The Cies Islands are a wild paradise of tranquility located in Galicia. And one of the top attractions of the place is the beach that sits in the North Island. Although it is not recognized as a solely nudist beach, for more than a decade nudists and non-nudists have gathered there. Do you want to pay a visit? You can head to Figueiras Beach by making a stop at Rhodes and travelling straight from there.
In the Estrecho Natural Park you will find this wonderful pristine beach laced with golden sand and turquoise waters. If you go, I encourage you to do as the locals do and cover your whole body in the therapeutic mud. To get there you have to cross the rocks at the end of the beach, and then you’ll go on to the time of your life :)
One of the most beautiful and the one I want to recommend to you most… this nudist beach in the Southern area of Gran Canaria. Here you will find fine sand and a sea that’s calm and transparent… just ideal for a fresh swim! Usually the beach is pretty crowded, but the advantage of the nudist area is that there are usually fewer people.
Imagine being able to swim without any clothes to slow you down!? In a setting of pine forests and dunes, in the area of La Albufera at that… sounds like bliss right!? This is exactly what El Saler beach offers you. You’ll find it in Valencia, so I’ve left a link below for you to find hotels, and you can do you research on getting to the exact beach from there :)
The super clear waters near the Marshes Nature Reserve of Piedras… that’s where this next one can be found! The water will be pretty cold here, which is actually a godsend in the Spanish weather! ;) So enjoy the natural surroundings and the stunning views. I’ve left a link below for hotels in Huelva so you can make a trip out of this one.
Almeria is an exceptional place known for its good weather and hot temperatures throughout the entire year, its rugged landscape and mountains combined with crystal waters… a diver’s dream! This is the reason that Playa de Vera is a favourite for pro-nudism tourists, where bathers dressed and un-dressed mix!
This nudist beach in Tenerife, located North of the island, differes from the others on the island as it has fine black sand and is totally ideal for surfing thanks to its wild waves. Another advantage to this magnificent beach is that an isolated area of about 1km can be reached on foot :)
Also in the North… a place with lower temperatures thanks to the Cantabrian climate, surrounded by mountains that make this beach a very special place. It also has one of the best viewpoints you’ll ever come across… you can definitely can some good instagrams from there!
In the area of El Albunol you will find this quiet nudist beach with Russian grey sand and crystal waters. Relax in the tranquil and peaceful surroundings… and even better!? There’s also bars and restaurants where you can kick back and enjoy a drink.
Finally, the nudist beach of La Mar Bella is one of the most famous in Barcelona, and is recognised as a blue flag beach with fine golden sand and super calm water. This is a semi-urban protected beach, fully equipped with disabled access, showers and hammocks :) If you spend a few days in Barcelona you can reach this beach with ease on the yellow metro line to Polble Nou… so check out the link I’ve left below for hotels in Barcelona and make it your next holiday!
