Experience an unforgettable New Year’s Eve in Disneyland Paris

I’m not gonna lie to you: I’m definitely not the only one with the idea to celebrate New Year’s in Disneyland Paris. Therefore it may just happen that the place is much more packed than on regular days. Since there’s also the Walt Disney Studios Park just beside Disneyland, I recommend an extended stay this time. It’ll save you the stress of long waiting times and you’ll be able to start the new year relaxed. I think two to three days in each park is the perfect amount of time for the resort. As to which attractions interest you the most, you should decide for yourself :) There were two new attractions introduced on 14th November 2015 that you’ll definitely love: if you know and love the Disney film Frozen, you shouldn’t miss the Frozen Singalong. There you’ll see the film summed up in a 20 minute musical performance. In the background you’ll see scenes from the film accompanied by the lyrics, so you’ll be able to sing along to your favourite songs. Something else that’s brand new are the Royal Christmas Wishes. Here Elsa and her sister will travel to the palace in a horse carriage and are guaranteed to pose for photos along the way – true fans just can’t afford to miss this!

If you want to spoil your taste buds on this special day and can do without burgers and chips, you should book a New Year’s Dinner in advance. At the Buffalo Bills Wild West Show you’ll be entertained by Mickey and his friends while you enjoy a themed Texan feast. You’ll have to dish out an impressive €129 for this unique show. Many other restaurants offer special New Year’s menus on this day. It’s best to enquire at the park and decide which menu you’d enjoy the most. Your New Year’s Eve is bound to be unforgettable if you make your way to the famous castle on Main Street after an adrenaline-filled day and find a good spot where you can enjoy the New Year fireworks. At this time the award-winning Disney Dreams of Christmas Light Show is presented and it’s accompanied by fireworks which you’ve certainly not seen before. After the final countdown to the New Year you’ll be able to toast with a glass of champagne, which you can purchase in the park beforehand. But the fantastic fireworks are not the only thing on offer: there’s a small party directly in the foyer of the castle just after midnight where a DJ serves the tunes and you can dance well into the new year. If you’ve still not got enough of the many attractions, you’ll have another opportunity to go on the many rollercoasters and experience a wild ride in the dark night!

It’s not so easy to find an affordable and comfortable accommodation in and around Disneyland Paris in the time nearing up to New Year’s. In order to introduce to you some of the Disneyland Hotels and present the choice of central and affordable hotels, I’ve just left a link below to the cheapest ones from December 30th to Jan 4th, but you can just adjust the dates on the page to suit yourself :) You should all be able to find a suitable hotel there. Since the 31st December is one of the most popular days to visit Disneyland, the ticket prices are somewhat higher than during the low season. On New Year’s a day-pass to one of the parks costs from €69, for an entry to both parks you have to pay €84. Children pay €77 and €62 respectively for a day of fun at Disneyland Resort Paris.

Last but not least, I have a small money-saving tip for you regarding the journeys between Paris and Disneyland Resort: as a small present for the locals and visitors of the French capital, the metros, RERs and night buses are all free of charge from 5pm on 31st December until noon of the 1st January!
