Fuerteventura – an unspoiled surfer’s favourite
You can never go wrong with a holiday to Fuerteventura. With a gorgeous, rugged landscape and strong winds which it is named after, it has avoided the crowdedness of its sister islands. Therefore it is the perfect sun holiday for people looking to explore nature and go surfing. When I see the beautiful scenery and refreshing ocean waves, its clear to me that this is the place to be! In this article, I will give you some useful information to help you when deciding whether to book a Fuerteventura holiday.
Book a cheap holiday to Fuerteventura
If it’s a cheap sun holiday you’re after then Fuerteventura is one of the best destinations in the Canary Islands, and in all of Spain for that matter! There’s an absolutely massive list of destinations to choose from, so it can be hard finally deciding on one. While it doesn’t have quite the same number of hotel resorts like Gran Canaria or Tenerife, there are still plenty of options to choose from here that should also be quite affordable. I would also recommend looking on Airbnb if you’re looking at busy times and can’t find a hotel that tickles your fancy!
When should I book my Fuerteventura holiday?
Millions of passengers fly to Fuerteventura directly from over 80 destinations every year which is absolutely huge for such a small island. With that in mind, it would make sense to book with at least two or three months in advance to get ahead of the crowd. Even still there I am always publishing terrific last minute holiday deals to Fuerteventura on my blog so sometimes you can get lucky. It’s not as busy to fly into Fuerteventura as in Gran Canaria or Tenerife.
Package holidays to Fuerteventura
If you’re looking to make every penny count when traveling abroad, then sometimes booking everything in one package is the best thing you can do. This will help keep all the transport costs manageable so you can worry about working on your tan and enjoying yourself! Especially if you’re taking a whole family with you which can be expensive. Click&GO and TUI are great options if you’re looking for a trusted provider to book a package holiday to Fuerteventura.
All inclusive holiday to Fuerteventura
Another way to tighten the purse strings is to book an all-inclusive holiday package. Not only will it save you money but think of all the delicious food you’ve just order for yourself ahead of time. It is best to check out the reviews for a hotel on trip advisor. If you are not a fan of buffet food, then it may be advisable to forego this option and eat out at restaurants instead. Eating out in Spain is very cheap so its not the end of the world either way! Don’t forget to try the local Paella which tastes just incredible!
Fuerteventura holidays from Ireland
There are two options to reach Fuerteventura from Ireland. Dublin is by far the biggest connection between the two. But people from the west coast aren’t left out with flights from Shannon also operating. Then, of course, there is also Belfast.
Top destinations in Fuerteventura
There are over 250 km of coastline here which makes Fuerteventura an excellent choice for a sunny beach holiday. Its the second biggest island in the group and has one of the most unique landscapes of them all. Both people looking for a relaxing time and those with a thirst for surf and adventure come here in droves every year. Its warm all year long in the Canaries which means the fun never stops even if its a winter holiday.
