The best family holiday deals
For many, a holiday with family is the most beautiful time of the year. You can enjoy your time together in a wonderful corner of the world. On an all inclusive family holiday, everyone should get their money’s worth. But how and when to book a family holiday and how to get cheap family holiday deals? The adults want to recover and relax. Children want fun and adventure. The deals for a family holiday, which I’m going to show you here, combine the wishes of each family member regardless of where you’re going. On a beach holiday, parents can relax by the pool, while their children have fun watching entertainers. On an active holiday, activities in the middle of nature are fun for everyone. You can find the perfect family holiday break for you out of all my different family holidays on my page.
Family-friendly holidays – the hotel as centrepiece
For everyone to get their money’s worth, the hotel has to cater to the needs of both the adults and children alike. Obviously, you don’t book an adult-only hotel. The hotel must be family-friendly. It has to have rooms with space for every family member. At best, the family rooms are equipped with all the important things like a cot and a baby changing table. In addition, family hotels include different activities for parents and children. For example, parents can enjoy a therapeutic treatment in the spa, while trained staff look after the kids. The little ones can splash around in a designated children’s pool without any danger, while the parents sit back and relax.
How to find a family friendly hotel
A kid’s-friendly hotel doesn’t necessarily has to have a kid’s buffet or babysitting service, there are other factors that you should keep in mind when booking your hotel if you travel as a family. Important factors are for example how child-friendly is the staff. When you’re going on holidays to Southern countries this is usually never a problem. They love kids and go out of there way to help you with in any way (Check the hotel’s reviews for that). When you have booked an all inclusive family holiday, at dinner time, you might find some pasta and sauce in the adult’s buffet anyway, which you can give to your kids, or they might be adventurous eater and eat whatever you do. A microwave for baby-food is also always available.
You should look into the hotel’s facilities though and choose one with a playground. There is nothing worse than a bored kid and it might be a nice change from the hot beach to play a bit in a shady area. However, some children simply love playing in the sand for the whole day, then you’re good. Another thing I would recommend you to check is if there is a doctor on site – or if it is easy for the hotel to call one. You don’t want to end up searching for hours when you have an injured child…
So I would say it doesn’t have to be a hotel with kids club and water park (of course, GREAT if it is!) but you can save yourself some money if you book a hotel where kids might enjoy themselves in the same way, without you paying double the price cause of all the facilities.
Family activities, which the whole family can do together, are just as important. Excellent family hotels should offer a wide range of things to do. Club hotels, which are aimed at families with children, offer entertainment evenings, for example. These are fun for both young and old. Many of the offers on my blog can guarantee you a wonderful time with the whole gang of little rascals. I have narrowed down the choice of the family holiday deals, which I have found on the internet. Your only task is to decide on a holiday and a destination. To inspire you and to support your decision, I’m going to show you the most popular destinations for a holiday with your child or children.
Family holiday destinations
Families with school-aged children have to go on holiday during school breaks. If you don’t have a school-aged child, you can travel whenever you want. Regardless of when you’re thinking of going on holiday with your family, there are so many destinations to choose from. You’re going to learn about the most popular destinations for a cheap and unforgettable holiday with your children now.
When is the best time to book a family holiday
When it comes to booking a family holiday package I really wouldn’t leave it up to the last-minute deals. Of course you can snap up amazing offers for the whole families, however, there is still a possibility that there is nothing really suitable out there and you end up with disappointed faces around the dinner table during summer break. So ideal is booking at least 6 months in advance. So for your typical family sun holiday in the summer months you should look into booking in January. If you have babies or toddlers you might be a bit more flexible, then you could avail of those last minute offers.
Where to book family holidays
On my blog, you can find lots of other destinations for the whole family. You’ll find everything you can possibly imagine. If your next family holiday is coming up and you need a few ideas, take a look here. The deals cover all the different holiday periods. You can also find offers for outside school break. They are ideal for parents with school-aged children as well as families without children. If you’ve decided to go on a family break soon, you can find a good range of cheap, last-minute deals. I hope you’re inspired and find a cheap family holiday to spend with your loved ones.
How to book a large family holiday
If your family is very big or you’re planning a family gathering then you really need to book in advance to get a good deal! With 6 months ahead you might even be late, because you need enough hotel rooms. To save some money, though, I would recommend you though to rent an apartment or a big house. They have a great selection of gafs on Airbnb, book your family holiday in advance and you will get a good deal even on villas with pool, where you could have your home away from home.
How much does a family holiday cost?
For a family budget holiday without catering and outside the expensive seasons you could get away with spending €250 each, however, for an all inclusive family holiday during summer break you would need to calculate with double the price. Of course it depends on where you go, those prices apply for a typical Spain family holiday deal but if you want to go to Disneyland you need to up this budget by far. I really wouldn’t recommend things like Disneyland though until your children are older, say from 7 years old. Before that age you simply spend tons of money and adults won’t really be able to enjoy, and your kids won’t even remember it…
