Having some time alone every now and then really does you wonders! Escape all the pressures and stress and just retreat to a cosy little space where you can snuggle up and put your feet up by the fire… Sounds lovely, and that’s exactly what you can do with this Meath getaway!
I was snooping around on Airbnb and I came across this gorgeous barn conversion in Co. Meath just a stone’s throw from Dublin, making this deal especially perfect for those looking to getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city!
You’ll be staying in a beautifully converted stone barn with views of the remains of a 13th century monastery, so as you can imagine the atmosphere and location is pretty magical! And while the barn does look quite small from the outside, you’ll be surprised by the amount of space you’ll have inside. There’s a cosy living area complete with a wood-burning stove to keep you nice and toasty, a pint-sized kitchen, a bathroom and a beautiful sleeping area up on the mezzanine. Maximum snugness!
Close by you’ve got fantastic sights such as the Hill of Tara and Brú na Bóinne as well as beaches along the East Coast, perfect for an afternoon walk! If you want some proper grub then there’s a great pub in the village close by.
This promises to be a super romantic stay – in fact some people have popped the big question during their time here, so perhaps you could too…! ;) Just click the link below to see the listing, there’s plenty of dates available all year round.
