You guys probably (just maybe!) already know just how much of a sucker I am for Scotland! Seriously one of the most beautiful places in the world. And this amazing lodge on Airbnb will make for the perfect Highlands getaway, especially if you’re looking for seclusion, peace and natural beauty all around.
Glamping in Scotland
This super quirky ‘Airship’ lodge is almost like an Airstream caravan on steroids! The property is almost tube-shaped, with walls made from aluminium and stunning ceiling-to-floor bay windows on either end that will let you enjoy lovely views all around.
Inside you’ve got everything you’ll need for a perfect stay. Porthole-styled windows let in plenty of light in the main living spaces and the open-plan kitchen area provides a cosy place to enjoy breakfast in the mornings. Meanwhile the bedroom is certainly snug, with extra curtains you can draw for a bit of privacy. The main entrance opens out into a little wooden terrace that offers awesome views – I can’t imagine how lovely it’d be sitting out here when the weather’s nice!
You’re in a top location for exploring some of the Highlands’ most beautiful spots too. You can actually see the Isle of Mull from the property, so if you want to go there for the day you only have to drive to nearby Lochaline where you can use the ferry crossing. I definitely recommend driving along Loch Linnhe past Sallachan up to Loch Eil. If you’re lucky, you might be able to spot the peak of Ben Nevis from the other side of the loch (if it’s not hidden by the clouds that is!). And let’s not forget about mighty Glen Coe – it’s so awe-inspiringly beautiful; I was lost for words!
To book this Airbnb simply click the link below to be taken to the website. There is availability across 2018 so just see what dates are going and pick whatever takes your fancy. And if you need to find some flights to go with this then I’ve also popped in a handy link so you can browse what connections are available to Glasgow, which is around 3 hours and 44 minutes by car. :)
