This is one for everybody outside of Dublin! If you like to visit our capital to spend a day shopping on Grafton or Henry Street, decide to visit family and friends or combine a city trip with going hiking in Wicklow then take a closer look at this offer! On I found the brilliant 4 star Pembroke Townhouse (79% on Tripadvisor) at the edge of city centre in Ballsbridge. You can easily walk into town since you’re very close at Grand Canal, a pretty newly constructed part of the city. There is also the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre. Check out which performance is on during your stay. Definitely worth a visit! The booking dates on hrs can be selected and you can choose between April, May and June so plenty of time to plan your trip. My advice for lunch, even though you read a lot about Bewley’s Cafe in tourist magazines, I really wouldn’t recommend to eat there… The food is pretty average and quite pricey. I would choose Carluccio’s, a really nice lunch place/restaurant on Dawson Street, they even have cooking classes, so combine your trip with a Risotto or Pasta making class :) If you like to visit a museum then there are of course all the national ones: the Art Gallery, Historic Museum, Natural History… but a bit more hidden, the Chester Beatty Library is a wonderful place to spend  an hour or two. The museum gives a wonderful literary overview of the main religions and you can admire a collection of books from the Middle East, North Africa, Asia and Europe combined with beautiful contemporary art. A must-see!
