Woohooo – another adventure, this time to two very beautiful Europeans capitals that are just a stone’s throw away from each other!

Round Trip Vienna & Bratislava

Using and my Flight Finder, I’ve managed to put together a mini-adventure to Europe, where you’ll get to experience two gorgeous cities that are filled with all sorts of pretty sights and experiences! Included in this deal are just your accommodation and flights – transfers will have to be arranged by yourselves. However I can recommend using the coach as a both an easy and above all super cheap way to get between the two cities. The journey lasts just an hour or so! Flights are from Dublin to Bratislava, and then it’s on your first destination…

The Austrian capital is vibrant, classy and cool. With its wealth of top-notch museums, grand architecture and gorgeous parks, it’s a wonderful city to explore and you’ll fall in love with it in no time. You’ve got 3 nights here, staying at the ibis Wien Mariahilf. You’re situated just to the west of the city centre with loads of transport links at your doorstep (tram and the U-Bahn), so getting around will be a piece of cake. Get out there and spend lovely afternoons strolling through the gardens of stately palaces, or chill out at a cool café in hip neighbourhoods such as Leopoldstadt, Mariahilf or Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus.

Once you’ve had your 3 nights in Vienna, it’s time to hop on the coach and head to your next destination!

Situated just a stone’s throw from the Austrian-Slovakian border, Bratislava tends to get overshadowed by its larger neighbour Vienna. However you’ll find that this compact city has charm by the bucketloads! The pastel-coloured Old Town can easily be explored by food, and the castle enjoys a fantastic vantage point overlooking the river Danube. Thanks to the lush forests all around you’ll definitely sense the lovely nature all around. And it’s a great year to visit Bratislava too – the country is celebrating its 100-year anniversary, so expect plenty of events and special exhibitions commemorating the country and its history. During your 2 nights here you’ll be staying at the VIP Apartments, located in a prime location in the Old Town.

When it’s time to go home, it’ll be just a short hop in the taxi back to the airport and you’ll be back on your way home after what’s been a fantastic little tour. I think people often forget how close these two cities are to each other, so it makes sense to really make the most of your time while you’re there and soak up as much culture as you can!
