If you’re looking for a solo trip in a more off-beat city, then consider Riga. This city is known for its Christmas Markets and old-world feel, but underneath this tourist-friendly veneer, you’ll find exciting art movements, hip bars and a deep history. I found this October Riga Solo Trip using Trivago and my Flight Finder tool.

Riga Solo Trip

During your stay in the city, you’ll be staying int he 4* Europa Royale hotel in central Riga. This hotel is next to Verman Park and close to the historical district. You’ll enjoy a comfortable stay in a hotel with classic decor. Previous guests loved the hotel’s location and friendliness.

Riga continues to remain an underrated gem. This Latvian capital is one of the best places to see original Art Nouveau architecture. You’ll feel like you’re in a fairytale as you walk through Alberta Iela and find yourself amongst charming souvenir shops, restaurants and the Art Nouveau Museum, where the staff dress like it’s the 1890s. This city is more than a pretty face, however – it has an undeniable edge. It’s got a host of art and cultural centres like Riga Art Space, where you’ll find an immersive exhibition. Stop by the Kanepes Cultural Centre in a formerly-derelict schoolhouse for a beer, a cinema screening or a stimulating talk or workshop. Fan of ABBA? Take a boat tour on Riga canal to the band’s greatest hits!
