Istanbul break

Straddling the banks of the Bosphorus Strait, Istanbul has always been the place where East meets West. With classical architecture dotted with breathtaking mosques and medieval Ottoman fortresses, you’ll fall for its charm in no time at all.

I found this deal with the help of my loyal hotel and flight finder. It comes with a stay in a stunning 5* hotel in a fantastic central location, plus your return flights from Dublin. From the airport it’s a 40-minute journey to where you’re staying, the Byotell Hotel Istanbul & Spa. Here you’ll find luxury interiors and there’s even a fantastic spa that will spoil with treatment, when you return to the hotel after a day full of sightseeing, as well as an indoor pool and a gym.  The deal is a self catering deal, so you can explore the delicious Turkish cuisine in the Old Town or visit one of the many hipster cafes in Moda, a young and hip district nearby.

Istanbul’s long history means that culture lovers are going to have a field day here! From the iconic Hagia Sophia to the Topkapι Palace, you’ll be able to retrace the steps of the various empires and eras. Get some shopping done at the famous Grand Bazaar, and towards night you’ve got a fantastic nightlife scene and restaurants serving amazing Turkish dishes and feasts. So I reckon you’ve got more than enough to keep you busy here! ;)

Don’t let the naysayers put you off – travelling is all about experiencing new cultures after all, and Istanbul really does have it all! Just click the link below to book your city break.
