Head for a five day city break to Dubrovnik in Croatia with this great deal from expedia.ie which includes flights and a centrally located hotel. You will be staying in Villa Kate Dadic which is right in the heart of the city and has a brilliant 84% rating on Trip Advisor.

The hotel is located next to ancient city walls, Banje Beach and Visia Dubrovnik Multimedia Museum. It has all the benefits of a city break but with the delights of a beach close-by. It also has a lovely garden for your leisure and the staff are happy to help you with any tour information or ticket booking that you need.

Dubrovnik is an amazing city and not one you would really think of visiting but it is really worth it. During your time here explore the ancient city walls I mentioned, they are 2km in length and 22 meters high! If you’re not uneasy about heights it is quite a sight to look upon. Again, not for the squeamish, a cable car ride will take you over the city, to the top of the hills where you can admire the view. The Franciscan Monastery is really worth a visit with its beautiful hidden courtyard and interesting history.

After you have done some city exploration, it is time to hit the beach! Bring a picnic and pass the day away lying in the sun, building sand castles, kayaking or swimming. A day at the beach will surely work up a hunger and thirst so try out some of the many delicious seafood restaurants on offer. Croatian wine is also a delight not to be missed!
