A Bratislava short break is always a fantastic idea in my opinion. Not only will you be able to explore the wonderfully cute Old Town of Slovakia’s capital, but you can even just pop across to Vienna for a day trip too – it’s less than an hour away! Two capitals in one trip would definitely be a cool thing to experience.

Bratislava Short Break

This deal I’ve put together using Hotels.com and Skyscanner is for a 3-night stay right in the heart of Bratislava’s Old Town. The wonderful whitewashed castle that overlooks the city is literally just a few blocks away, while there’s a whole host of lively bars and restaurants at your doorstep.

You’ll be flying direct from Dublin, and your hotel is the Charming & Cosy Ambiente Apartments. It’s situated on a pretty side street with that lovely 18th Century architecture that’s typical of Eastern Europe, and since you’re staying right in the heart of the action you can waste no time at all exploring what there is to see.

Since you have 3 nights here I definitely recommend going to Vienna for a day trip. You can easily reach the Austrian capital by bus or even boat without having to fork out that much for it. Once there, you’ll find bucketloads of stately architecture, palaces and sprawling parks, making it one of Europe’s most beautiful capitals and a city you have to visit at least once. So use the opportunity while you’re there and make the most of it! :)
