No matter what you’re trying to take a break from, an Auckland getaway is bound to sort you right out! :) Plenty of sights, skyscrapers and events to keep you nicely occupied…

Auckland Getaway

With this brilliant Expedia deal, you and another person can spend a whole week in the New Zealand city, in a stunning hotel in the centre, for just €1439 each, and that’s including your return flights from Dublin. Suddenly one of those places you never thought you’d get to has become a lot more possible, right!?

If it’s culture you’re going for, you definitely need to head over to the Auckland Museum, Art Gallery and maybe even pay a visit to the Waitomo Caves if you’re keen on something a little more adventurous too.

You can of course do a hop-on-hop-off tour so you really get a better feel for the city and learn a bit of what it’s all about. It might be a good idea to do one of these at the start of your trip so you can get a bit of background on the city and then get all that exploring done :)

And my top recommendation for you would have to be a visit to the Sugar Club. This restaurant up the Sky Tower will give you one of the best eating experiences you may ever experience anywhere… you may think I’m jumping the gun a little but I mean it’s the food results of Peter Gordon… up a tower… in a stunning city… I’m pretty sure you could do it again and again and still be buzzing!

skycity

The Skycity Grand Hotel is located in the city centre, just across the street from the Sky Tower and entertainment complex so it’s in quite an ideal location. You’ll be able to just step outside the hotel and be in the centre of everything you want and need.

And luxury isn’t even a question! Enjoy the on site spa centre with massage and steam rooms, as well as an indoor lap pool, sauna and spa tub… so comfort is at the centre of everything! As is a perfect view to the city. The rooms boast incredible views of the city so you’re awe won’t even stop once you get back to your room. Holiday mode for the entire week!
