The Gurucast Season 2 Episode Four

When it comes to exercising, not very many of us manage to do it on holidays. It can be a bit of a chore and it would be very rare that a holiday would be made up of one of the most difficult feats of athleticism you could imagine! Our guest today, Damian Browne, is a former professional rugby player and as a treat to himself directly after he retired he registered for one of the toughest foot races in the world. Today on the podcast we discuss his latest astonishing feat of rowing across the Atlantic solo! Don’t miss it!

As I officially crossed the finish line after 63 days, 6 hours and 25 minutes of battling the Atlantic, one of the first voices I hear is an Irish one, ‘Good man Brownie’ ……… Billy Henshaw an Athlone man had commandeered a local RIB and kindly come out to welcome the weary traveler back to solid ground. After a brief exchange of thank yous, Billy as part of the welcome flotilla followed me into the marina and took this amazing shot from a very different angle. Thanks Billy, I absolutely love it. ——————————————————————————— If you’d like to hear about meeting ANNE on Xmas eve, looking a whale in the eye or capsizing twice in one day, go over to @paddyholohanmma ‘s page or @brian_keane_fitness page and check out the podcasts I did with both of them just before flying out to Iran.
