Christmas Flights Inspiration
First, on the list, I’ve got a classic Guru destination. Everyone loves to visit Amsterdam but the city truly comes into its own once the festive season hits. While it can be cold your heart will be warmed up by all of the festive spirits in the city.
It really is hard to get a place more festive than Brussels! The great thing about a stay in this city is that if you want to take a day trip to Bruges which is simply magical. There are plenty of great Christmas markets offering all of the more traditional things that you need for a great market.
London is a city that just keeps on giving. This huge sprawling metropolis has so much to explore its no wonder the Christmas markets are well worth checking out. You have a couple of options when it comes to exploring but with prices from just €20 its seriously hard to beat. Some of the best ones to check out are the likes of the Southbank winter festival, Leicester square market or the winter wonderland in Hyde Park.
Next up we’ve got the simply stunning city of Munich. Probably the one country in the world that knows how to do Christmas markets right is Germany. There is so much charm and flavour to these markets that you’ll find it hard to know where to start. Munich is a particularly beautiful city at the best of times but during the festive season it goes up another level. I would reccomend having a taste of that famous Glühwein.
One of my favourite European cities has to be Vienna. This stunning city has loads of history to explore and when it comes to Christmas. There is a heavy German influence here as well but they definitely have their own flavour to them. Usually flights to Vienna airport are fairly expensive so thats why I’ve chosen flights to Bratislava. The great thing about this airport is that you can not only visit Vienna but Budapest too.
On the slightly more expensive side of things, we have the simply stunning city of Prague. This gem is popular all year round but it is another city that really comes into its own once the festive season hits. Walking around Prague you’ll be reminded of a medieval city so you can imagine how magical it can be once the lights go on. The flights might be a bit expensive but you will make it up with the accomodation which is always pretty reasonable.
A personal favourite of mine, Berlin is a city that is good any time of year. It has a reputation as the party capital of the world but it can also be a pretty festive place too. The great thing about these markets is that they are located all over the city so you can explore and soak in the festive atmosphere. My top picks would be either the Gendarmarkt or the Charlottenburg Palace market. You can pick your favourite when you visit though! ;)
There are plenty of dates available for these flight destinations and the prices don’t really vary at all between those dates! Make sure you get clicking and if you want to book some accommodation make sure to check out the links below!
Happy travels! :)
