A good hotel is mostly what makes or breaks a holiday. From plain and modest to grand and pretentious, or even simple to luxurious – everyone has their own ideas of their dream hotel. The following hotels in Majorca that I’m going to show you all have one thing in common – Top marks!
It’s time again for me to show you the best hotels on the holiday island of Majorca. For some, its the many beautiful beaches and stunning bays that attract them to the island, they want to relax and explore the area. Others just want to party. Although the reasons bringing them to this island may differ, the holiday makers share one thing: they all want a hotel which corresponds to their needs. So that you don’t have to trawl the web yourselves, I’ve searched out 5 of the best. Just maybe there is something here to take your fancy!
The first of the top-rated hotels that I would like to show you is in the north-west of Majorca, in the lovely area of Binibona, about 40 minutes from Palma by car. In an area of undisturbed nature, the 4 star country lodge-style Can Furiós is the perfect place to enjoy the fresh mountain air. The sweet smells of rosemary and jasmine tickle your senses as the birds sing in the background. It’s time to lay by the pool and let the calmness take over. Reviews such as “The best thing that can happen to you…” and “a paradise in the mountains” speak for themselves – or do I need to add something else?
Palma de Majorca, the main city on this beloved island, is one of the prettiest harbour towns in Europe. Even just the impressive Palma Cathedral, the Bellver Castle and the many small and colourful markets alone make this town worth a visit. Furthermore, you can make many worthwhile day trips out from the town to the surrounding Serra de Tramuntana mountains. If you want to see more than the airport and do more than just lie on a beach, then I can highly recommend the 4 star Hotel Posada Terra Santa. In the middle of the magical old town, guests rave about the great location and top service. With a roof terrace with a pool and a spa area with pool and sauna, not to mention the reviews like “One of the BEST – we are more than happy,” this place is definitely not to be missed.
At the foot of the Serra de Tramuntana mountains there is a small picturesque village called Bunyola. If you spend a holiday here you will love soaking up the idyllic atmosphere and amazing views. With a stay in the charming 4 star Finca Hotel Alqueria Blanca, in the middle of a wonderful Majorcan garden resort, your perfect holiday is shaping up nicely! As this hotel has two suites and 5 double bedrooms, each guest has their own private terrace with a view of the gorgeous surroundings. Guests like to describe this hotel as “a little paradise” – well when you look at the pictures, that is completely understandable!
Do you know the small artists’ village of Deia? No Then you’ve certainly got some catching up to do! This is a true gem at the foot of the Serra de Tramuntana mountains. Lying on the north west coast of Majorca, between Valldemossa and Soller, this village is surrounded by incredible mountain scenery, delicious lemon and olive tree aromas and the vast sea lying at your feet. With only just 700 residents, this place doesn’t offer the biggest choice of accommodation, but what it lacks in quantity, it makes up for in quality. One of these quality residences is the lovely 5 star Hotel Belmond La Residencia – rated as one of the best in Majorca. Has this made you want to take a trip to Deia? You should definitely consider staying at this old lodge from the 16th Century – The location alone is priceless! On Tripadvisor, visitors praise it as a “heavenly hotel in stunning landscapes – even better than expected.” Prices are naturally a little higher for this one than the previous two though- Better start saving now!
May I? This is the amazing 5 star Cap Rocat Resort – a former military fort, transformed into a unique and wonderful luxury residence. A quiet private bay, an extraordinary infinity pool and luxurious suites with private inner courtyards and terraces are just a few of the amenities that guests here can enjoy during their unforgettable holiday. The Cap Rocat itself is like a dream world – it’s impossible not to feel blissful here. Even the entrance halls have mesmerising effects – once you are inside the hotel it’s like you are under a spell. The happy customers who were lucky enough to travel here describe it as “Possibly the best place ever to stay in Majorca.”
