Trying to make this Summer the best yet!? Assembling plans together like the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle!? Well… can I suggest making it all come together with a trip to UK award-winning music festival Barn on the Farm!?
Barn on the Farm – A Prime Reason to Visit Gloucester This Summer!!
Gloucester’s finest, Barn on the Farm has bounced back this year with another stellar line-up… and this is only the first installment! There are a serious number of fine artists set to take to the barn stages across Over Farm from July 1st – 3rd this year, and the friendly vibe just grows in credibility year after year!
Headlining this year will be the Brits Critics’ Choice winner Jack Garratt, and alt-pop band Oh Wonder. Garratt actually played the main stage at last year’s festival, a bit lower down the bill, and the turn out and reaction was incredible, so his headline slot is definitely worth witnessing.
You can also expect a more familiar face to all of us… our very own Gavin James will be heading across the pond to perform over the weekend, so that’s something we should all get over and support! Flying the flag for us ;)
You can see the full line up (so far) at the end of this post, but line up aside, the weekend is bound to be an incredible addition to whatever plans you have this Summer. You’ll be nestled in the lovely countryside surroundings of Gloucester, and when the festival is over and you have a bit of time to wander around, you’ll see the quaint city in all its beauty as well! :)
On site, there’s more than just music. There’s good food, drinks, a really chilled atmosphere, and you can even take a plane ride over Gloucester… seriously cool! The campsite is super friendly and just adds to the whole experience, BUT, if camping just isn’t your thing, I’ve left a link below for you to find a hotel for the best price in Gloucester, so just click below and take your pick if that suits you a bit better.
What a great way to kickstart July with a group of friends. The festival still has so many more artists to announce, so stay tuned. I’ve left the link below for more info and tickets. They’re renowned for spotting good talent early… the fact they had Ed Sheeran and Bastille in their more ‘up and coming days’ will tell you that ;)
How To Get There
Travelling from Ireland, your best bet is to fly to Birmingham or Bristol. Bristol would be closest, although it can sometimes be a bit more expensive on flights. I’ve also left a link below for you to find the cheapest flights from your most convenient Irish airport to either Bristol or Birmingham.
Once you get across the pond, there are plenty of buses and trains that will take you to Gloucester city, and from the bus station there, any of the 24/24A, 30/31 and 32/33 buses will drop you right outside the site, or a taxi will be practically nothing. Especially between a group of you.
Then you’ll get your weekend wristband, and start the party! Simple as that :) For all the info you need just click the links below.
