I’ve done a solo trip to Oslo myself and I can definitely say that it’s worth every penny!

Solo Trip to Oslo

With this wicked Expedia deal I spotted you’ll be able to enjoy 3 days soaking up the relaxed, cosy vibes of Norway’s capital. It’s not a big city by any means, but there’s more than enough to keep you busy!

The deal comes with your return flights from Dublin to Oslo Gardermoen (you can take the Flytoget train straight into the city centre), and at your hotel, the Saga Oslo Central, you’ll be staying in a comfortable dormatory with plenty of space. I’m definitely digging the modern design in this place, so you can be sure that you’ll be getting a good night’s sleep each time. Oh, and breakfast is included each morning as well!

There are so many museums, sights and places to go that it’ll be impossible for me to fit it all in! But the absolute essential sights should be the Royal Palace (Slottet) and Akershus Fortress, which overlooks the beautiful harbour. There’s also the ultra-modern Opera House that almost looks like an iceberg. But my favourite place to be is the neighbourhood of Grünerløkka, home to amazing cafés, bars and restaurants that are super cosy. I can also recommend Bare Jazz which is close to the pretty cathedral and market halls – it doubles up as an awesome café and record shop!

Of course there’s great clubs here too such as Blå, and with the sprawling forests of Nordmarka at your doorstep you could even try your hand at some cross-country skiing – just like the locals! ;) To book your solo trip, simply click the link below.
